Fuck Amazon! Now what?

 FUCK Amazon! Now what?

So there is no one place that I shop from since FUCK AMAZON,

but here’s where I have been going and it works for me.

Go to your local stores and small businesses if they are accessible. Some larger places, like Costco, use delivery services. See if there is a local Co-op in your area. You can become a member-owner and support your community at the same time.

I will update this list as I think of more things and or users share their experiences.I just put this together after George Conway asked for a list on Bluesky. Yay, Autism. It turned into a quick project that my one-pointed mind loved to do. Also, FUCK AMAZON!

Things:

www.overstock.com Housewares, pet supply, clothing, etc.

Buy Black! All the time. This link is a flip book.

It contains many many black owned products that you can check out. Navigating the site is not my fave as it is a flip book but there are so many black owned companies out there that we could be supporting.

https://www.iherb.com : supplements, groceries some cleaning supplies, and more.

https://www.grove.co household products and beauty. I love this company and its commitment to the planet I have autoship for most used items. They have products to reduce single-use plastics.

Books:

Get yourself a card at your local library. They have audio books, digital books, and so much more. They may also have access to an app called Hoopla that gives you movies and TV shows from all around the world for free. I love the Libby app for audiobooks.

If you can, shop at your local independently owned bookstore, you’re supporting your local economy.

https://nonamebooks.com/ The rapper No Name has a book club where she lists local black-owned bookstores around the country, and links to local libraries.

Other Stuff:

Check out your local small-owned pharmacies; they often have better service and may include free delivery.

Please leave links in the comments of your favorite places to shop so that we can all have access to Amazon alternatives.
